Comments:
Thomas FitzRandolph was a weaver. When his brother John and others had a dispute with the Baptist Church, they split and formed the Seventh Day Baptist Church. Thomas went along with this movement and was a solid member of the new church. The Seventh Day Baptist Church is still active in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, as well as several other states.

Elizabeth Manning FitzRandolph died in a smallpox epidemic in 1732. Her daughter Elizabeth also died of smallpox, as did several nieces and nephews. They are buried together in St James Churchyard in Edison, New Jersey.

Birthplaces, etc, are listed above as "Piscatawaytown" which is the original name for the area currently occupied by the New Jersey towns of Piscataway, Edison, and parts of Perth Amboy. This can be confusing to the beginning researcher, as directions for graves, homes and so on are often given as "in Piscataway" but when the researcher attempts to find the actual site, he or she realizes that it is actually several miles away in Edison or closer to Perth Amboy.
