Comments:
* Dr. Mayes (01056) gives "James" as the father of Edward, although most others agree that his name was "Edward". He came from Sutton in Ashfield, Notts., bound for Scituate, in what is now Massachusetts, as part of "The Great Migration" of 1630.. In 1639 Edward and Elizabeth moved from Scituate to Barnstable on Cape Cod and about 1666 they moved to Piscataway, NJ, where they remained the rest of their lives. See Dr. Mayes' account. The actual location of their graves was lost after the British threw up earth works at the cemetery during the Revolution but see Jane's pictures for the approximate location (find "lost").
